Christmas Comes Early for Andover Framing
There is a real sense of optimism and excitement right now in our family run picture framing business.
Thanks to an amazing “Shop Front Refresh” grant from Test Valley Borough Council we could finally afford a much needed face lift of our (tired looking) shop frontage.
The business operates from an historic listed building right in the middle of Andover (on the High street). We do everything here from serving our customers in shop to manufacturing and finishing the new picture frames (tucked away in other areas of the building). We absolutely love what we do and since owning the business we have always wanted to change the look of the place.
A Wish from the Beginning
We have consistently balanced the desire for change with the ongoing sustainability of the business each year. Echoing the sentiments of our customers and followers, we often hear expressions like, "Please don’t close," and "I’m so glad you’re still here." One of the main reasons we took over the business several years ago was because we, too, wanted to ensure it remained open and to help keep the Andover high street vibrant and alive.
Bring the Vision to Life
Our design goal has always been to infuse the space with a vintage charm. We aimed for painted wood panelling paired with timeless fonts and graphics. The wooden cornice above the main shop display, along with the revitalized hanging baskets, evoke a classic, inviting, and familiar storefront aesthetic.

Blending the New with the old
We also wanted to add a touch of fun while blending the new with the old. Sharp-eyed visitors will spot QR Codes elegantly framed beneath some of our service headings (and yes, we crafted those frames ourselves). By introducing smartphone interactivity, we're excited about exploring creative ways to connect with our website in the near future.
